Wikigacha alternative
Wikigacha made collecting Wikipedia articles a craze. WikiCollector is another way to play: English Wikipedia cards you can trade with friends, buy and sell on a market, bid on at auction and file into albums. Here is how the two compare, fact by fact.
Written by WikiCollector, one of the games compared. Facts checked on 5 October 2026. Neither game is affiliated with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation. Registration is for adults 18+; subjects may be mature.
Wikigacha in brief
Wikigacha, also known as Wikipedia Gacha, is a free browser game by the Japanese developer Harusugi, released on February 24, 2026. It went viral in Japan shortly after launch. Cards come from the Wikipedia edition of the language you play in; the menu offers Japanese, English, Spanish, French and Chinese.
A pack holds five cards, and packs recover one per minute up to ten. After every ten packs, the next one guarantees SR or better, and daily missions add more packs. Rarity comes from a quality score by WikiRank, from Common to Legend Rare, while attack follows page views and defense follows article length. Battles are the other half of the game: a daily raid, single and five-card team battles, a Story Expedition, and online battles, in beta since 25 September 2026. Your collection lives in your browser, with export and an optional Google sign-in sync in beta.

What WikiCollector adds
Offer one to ten of your cards for one to ten of a friend’s. Both sides see the exact cards before anyone accepts.
Buy the one card your album is missing at a fixed price, or bid in auctions that last from minutes to twelve hours. List your duplicates the same way.
Thematic albums fill themselves as you pull matching cards, and public collections let other players browse and vote on your best finds.
Rarity works differently too. Because it follows readership, a Legendary on WikiCollector is a subject the world was actually reading about. The full picture is on our Wikipedia gacha guide and the published odds.
